Wedding Day Gift Ideas

Hi bride-to-be friends! Maybe it was just me, but a large portion of my time in the last few months leading up to our wedding was spent searching for the perfect gifts. On my list: my Mom, my Dad, Matt, my mother-in-law and my bridesmaids. So many people I love so dearly, and nothing seemed special enough to properly honor them (gift giving is one of my major love languages, so these details were incredibly important to me!). Here are a few wedding day gift ideas to hopefully give you some inspiration!

Wedding Day Gift Idea #1: Mother of the Bride Gift

Of all the recipients, my Mom was the hardest for me. I wanted something sentimental and had my sights set on jewelry from the get go, so when I found Shannon Westmeyer’s Etsy Shop I knew my search was over. Shannon and her daughter handcraft beautiful jewelry from original French wax seals dating back to the 1800s. I went with this design, which says “Tout Pour les Minne” or “I do it for my mine” or “I do it for my family” and had my Mom’s birthstone added (via this listing) to further personalize. The necklace came beautifully wrapped (you can pay for custom wrapping for $5) and was even more stunning than I imagined. I highly, highly recommend this sweet little shop!

Wedding Day Gift Idea #2: Mother of the Groom Gift

I wanted to gift both my Mom and Mother-In-Law something they would use/love during our bridesmaid high tea. I am a huge Jo Malone fan, and I was so happy to find these gorgeous sets! The packaging is even more beautiful in person, and the scents are next level (like all Jo Malone). I also gifted both my Mom and Mother-In-Law the long sleeve version of my bridesmaid get ready outfit — it was so much fun to have them match everyone the morning of!

Wedding Day Gift Idea #3: Father of the Bride Gift

This one was tricky for me (why are Dads so difficult to shop for!?). I wanted something really personalized for my Dad, and specifically wanted something symbolizing fishing, our favorite pastime when I was a kid. Can you imagine me scouring the internet for the perfect rainbow trout-themed gift?! Lol. I ended up visiting The Collective, an Atlanta-based small business with the most beautiful selection of antiques/vintage gifts (high recommend if you’re an ATL local!) and finding the PERFECT piece of art. If you’re searching for your Dad, consider going the commissioned art route — so many great options on Etsy that are affordable/gorgeous!

Wedding Day Gift Idea #4: Bridesmaids Gifts

I wanted my girls to feel showered during wedding weekend, and gifting beauty products is the best way I know to show love! I loved these personalized boxes (I also used for my Mom/Mother-in-Law’s gifts) and presented them to each girl during our high tea (more on that here). I am so thankful I discovered Kate Spade Surprise Sale during my planning — they have an incredible selection for up to 75% off traditional retail prices. Wedding Day Gift Idea #5: Groom Gift

Last but most importantly, MY GROOM! I have to say, this is the gift I’m most proud of. Matt is a huge basketball fan, so instead of a traditional, physical gift, I used Cameo to purchase personalized shoutouts from his favorite athletes — including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who we both absolutely love (and who photoshopped a picture of us from 2016 into his video backdrop). It’s safe to say Matt absolutely freaked and has proceeded to watch the video daily since our wedding. Let me know if you try this out too!
