Curve Love Jeans
I haven’t stepped foot in an Abercrombie & Fitch store since middle school, when I’d shop the sale rack for raunchy, overpriced graphic tees. In the decades since, I’ve witnessed the brand’s impressive evolution from afar, but I only fully appreciated the AF comeback when I purchased a pair of Curve Love 90s Ultra High Rise Straight Jeans earlier this year. Today I’m sharing my thoughts on this bestselling design and what you should know before purchasing.
Abercrombie’s Curve Love Collection
Abercrombie first launched their Curve Love collection in 2019. As part of a pivot away from decade-long exclusionary branding, the company expanded denim sizing to include sizes 23 to 37, with extra short to extra long varieties. The goal of Curve Love Jeans was to eliminate the common waist-gap and introduce a material with both stretch and structure. All Curve Love styles feature an additional 2” in hip and thigh measurements.
A Tall Girl’s Search for the Perfect Jeans
As a 5 ’11” girl with hips and a butt, I struggle to find denim that fits and flatters. Since the pandemic and a move to a WFH wardrobe, I’ve also grown to despise constrictive clothing. I prioritize comfort over everything. After reading a rave review of Abercrombie’s Curve Love Jeans from Rachael DeVaux of @rachaelsgoodeats, I decided to pull the trigger and ordered several Curve Love styles.
Why I Love the Curve Love 90s Ultra High Rise Straight Jeans
While I liked several pairs I ordered, I was completely blown away by the Curve Love 90s Ultra High Rise Straight Jeans. I love a vintage denim look, and this design gives the look and feel of a perfect flea market find. Unlike most vintage jeans that feel boxy and restrictive, the 90s denim composition – 99% cotton and 1% elastane – yields the perfect amount of stretch. Like its name suggests, this design is super-high rise, with a structure that lifts/ tightens in all the right places. The jeans are also sit-proof and move well.
Curve Love 90s Jeans Sizing
I’m nearly 5’11” and wear a size 27 in most major denim brands. I wear a 27L in the Curve Love 90s Jeans and love the fit. From a length perspective, they’re long enough to cover 2″ heels. I could’ve sized up to a 28 but preferred the tighter waist. If you’re in between sizes, consider ordering both to determine your perfect fit. A quick note — online returns via Abercrombie.com incur a $7.00 shipping fee.
Caring for Curve Love Jeans
The brand recommends machine washing cold and tumble drying on low. After several washes, my jeans have maintained their shape, size, and quality and still look new 6+ months post-purchase.
Additional Variations of the Curve Love 90s Jeans
These iconic jeans are available in ten variations, including a gray wash and a ripped style. The design comes in 15 waist sizes, with 5 length variations (extra short to extra long). I give major kudos to Abercrombie on this size variety!
These jeans are as versatile as it gets, with a silhouette that easily transitions from day to night. For a night look, consider pairing with an over-sized blazer, bold jewelry, and a pair of fabulous heels.

For a more casual look, these jeans look great with a tucked in shirt, Converse, and a neutral trench. The styling options are truly endless!

The verdict: I give these jeans a 10 out of 10. Not only are they incredibly flattering and comfortable, but with a $90 price tag they’re also relatively affordable when compared to similar luxury styles. I highly recommend giving this design a try if you’re searching for your dream denim — and jeans that you’ll actually look forward to wearing.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Above all, I hope this post inspires you to invest in a pair of Abercrombie Curve Love Jeans and see what the hype is all about for yourself!
