The 5 Masks I Can’t Live Without

5 skincare masks I can't live without

Not only are masks a great way to target specific skin issues quickly and effectively, but I’ve always found masking to be such an indulgent form of self-care. I love the feeling of removing a mask and immediately seeing a difference in my skin. While I’ve always loved masking, my mask practice was taken to another lever after discovering Kathleen Jennings during quarantine. If you don’t follow Kathleen, she’s a phenomenal beauty blogger who swears by masking daily and shares before/after photos that will have you running to Sephora.

Quick side note: RetailMeNot is currently offering $5 cash back on any Sephora purchase $65+! Perfect time to stock up on skincare.

Here are the five skincare masks I use regularly and swear by:

Mask #1
The Problem: Puffiness (alcohol, food, tears, etc.)
The Solution: Clairins V Intensive Wrap
Tip: Pair with these undereye patches and this chin strap (an original Kathleen Jennings recommendation and and a true game changer!)

Mask #2
The Problem: Dry skin
The Solution: Glamglow’s ThirstyMud
Tip: Sleep in it or wear throughout the day

Mask #3
The Problem: Acne. Uneven skintone. Dead skin.
The Solution: Drunk Elephant’s Baby Facial
Tip: Follow with The Ordinary’s Marula Oil. It’s $9 – vs. the Drunk Elephant version which is $72 – and just as effective

Mask #4
The Problem: Acne. Uneven skintone. Dead skin. Don’t want to spend $80 on a skincare product.
The Solution: The next best thing to DE’s BabyFacial, The Ordinary’s AHA/BHA mask
Tip: This will stain your clothes. Wear dark colors

Mask #5
The Problem: Big life event. Wedding, high school reunion where you’re trying to look ~cute and ageless~, etc.
The Solution: The holy grail of all holy grails (that will break your bank)
Tip: Wait for Sephora’s Rouge/VIB Sale and sign up for Rakuten cash back if you haven’t already. You’ll get $30 through this link

Hope you give these products a try, and I’d love to hear any recommendations you have in the comment section! Happy masking my friends!
